Ups and Downs

Today was soo topsy turvy! 

The Highs 

I had my first day being a Ledyard High School Caroler! It's been a dream of mine to be in carolers since I first saw them perform at my elementary school, and I'm really happy to finally be apart of this wonderful group. Never have I been more excited to sing Christmas music :)

I also got to spend a little time with Matt and his little puppy Cooper, which made me pretty happy

The Lows

I had to go to soccer practice. I am completely unmotivated for this year's season, I'm trying to find the fun in participating in a sport I've grown up playing with my friends, but benching, not being guaranteed a spot on varsity )even though I have my letter?) and spending pointless time at practice when I could be doing homework has really gotten to me. So no, I was not too eager for practice today.

My bratty little sister Bella also spoiled my good mood from caroling and made me want to bash her head into a wall. Pleasant, I know.

So all these things made for a sometimes grouchy, sometimes happy Alexis. Gah. On the bright side, I have to go to Staples tomorrow :) This makes me so happy cause I'm a freak about school supplies and I love all the cool stuff they have at Staples. I need paper reinforcements and post-it tabs for my Caroler binder, since the music in mine is in utter disarray. And I need all the other stuff for school toooo. EEK exciting. Not so exciting is that Matt's going to PA with his friends for the weekend. That's extra sucky since that kid and I are with each other a lot and I get all annoyed when we aren't. Blechhh. Oh well, more time to focus on the endless pile of AP English homework I've yet to reallyyy start :) Whooopsy :) Alright, I'm done with ya'll, back to online shopping, toodles!

Goin on the RAPIDSS

What do you know, I couldn't even post two days in a row! Pathetic, I know. I do have an excuse though! Yesterday we went white water river rafting on the Shenandoah, for about 4 hours. I had to get up at 7 even though I went to bed around 1:30 so that sucked and then it was like a 2 hour drive out. The experience was pretty cool, one of the river guides, Allison, reminded me of Coach Beast from Glee so that was uh, weird. My guide was Shane, he was pretty cool. The rapids were alright, definitely good for first timers like us, but the biggest ones were "Class 3" so it wasn't anything life threatening. The whole time my dad, sister and I are saying "Goin on the rapidsss!" Like that funny commercial with the comedian.

We went to Sonic after that which was fantastic because it's Sonic, like that's enough said. I got a medium Sonic Blast to-go, thinking it was like a milkshake, but it was more like a Blizzard from DQ and the medium was huge so I didn't finish it /:

What I Love <3 :

• • When Pete Obey tweets at me (That kid is the absolute sweetest and always makes my day)
  • Spaghetti Squash, it's like spaghetti but instead of pasta, the noodles are from sliced up squash, and it tastes so goodd
  • Tangled, but anyone who knows me and is reading this already knew that
  • Long "Good night" texts
  • My Harry Potter pillow from Etsy
  • Etsy (ermahgerd I love Etsy)

What I Dislike :

• • Losing first at Monopoly
  • Not having cell service (my laptop has become my phone)
  • Being away from my mom and two dogs
  • Break outs (holy crap why is there a new planet growing off my chin, it's disgusting)
  • People who pretend to be classy. If you have to tell people that you are, you aren't
  • Hearing everyone else talk about how great their night was and being like, oh I watched a good movie last night... that was pretty cool
  • When I go to order something and it's out of stock in my size

First Blog Post! Hooray!

My dad just commented that I look like I could be working on my blog right now. You see we're out in the wilderness (West Virginia) at his friend Pete's cabin (which is just a gigantic house in the woods) and I'm sitting out on the veranda with the beautiful view of all these hills and such, and apparently that's what bloggers do.

But I didn't have a blog, so I just made one. Thanks for the idea padre!

Umm, blogs and diaries never work with me cause I just can't commit to anything that requires me to write about myself all the time, I feel like you should post every day, and then if I forgot to post one day it'd be super bad and the Blog Gods would unleash their wrath or something sooo, I've never had one. But I dunno I'll give this a shot. 

What I’m Thinking About:

Online Shopping. Working this summer has been so wonderful because now I can pay my mom back for all the stuff I buy, which makes her think it's not so bad of an idea if she lets me buy more stuff, after all I'm paying for it.

Matt Jonesss. Currently emailing this kid cause I have zero cell service out here. He's at the Coast Guard Academy right now for some Open House thing.

Which makes me think of COLLEGE. I feel like I'm the only person at LHS who hasn't had stellar grades and hasn't gone on any college visits and every time someone asks where I want to go I just say Berklee College of Music cause that's the only prominent music school I know of besides Julliard, and I know I have zero chance in hell of getting in there sooo yeah. Stressful to say the least.

Never mind college, I still have senior year left of high school! Um probably should get around to doing my AP work but looking up definitions for English is so boring and things like Pinterest are one thousand times better!

Kayla Fowler has totally blown up my interactions on Twittaaa. 

I miss my puppies, Harper and Sofie. Also Cooper, he's practically my puppy, I play with him more than Matt does :) That's not entirely cute but he's so cute :)

Bella is sitting right in front of me and is seriously dying for a shout out even though this is my first post and nobody will ever read this haha. There you go Bella!

Greg Hutchins just texted me but seeing as I can only receive messages not reply to them out here, he will never know that YES GREG I AM TAKING AP ENGLISH.

I like that song Both of Us... it's stuck in my head right now!

Guess I'm done, I don't recall any of Gabby Dubuc's blogs being this rambling and long. People actually read hers too haha. Oh well, BYEE :)
